First All Rajasthan Officers’ Conference was organized in May, 2016 at Jaipur which was attended by all officers from the rank of ITOs to Pr.CCIT of Rajasthan.

Considering the success of this conference, the 2nd edition of the Conference was organized on 20th -21st June, 2017 at Pushkar. The Conference was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Pr.CCIT, Rajasthan Smt. Ameeta Saini, IRS in the esteemed company of Sh. S.K.Singh, CCIT Udaipur and Sh. S.K. Gupta, DGIT (Inv.), Jaipur on 20th June, 2017. The Conference was attended by 266 officers of Rajasthan charge.

The occasion turned out to be a brainstorming exercise where all the officers participated enthusiastically by raising theoretical and practical issues/queries followed by their solutions/redressal.

Lectures were delivered by the senior officers of the Department on evergreen topics such as audit, recovery of tax arrears and assessment procedures. Contemporary issues such as demonetization and Operation Clean Money were also deliberated upon during the Conference. Emphasis was laid down on the current changing scenario and session on Benami Transaction (Prohibition) Amended Act, 2016 was lit by an array of questions/queries raised by the participants.

Considering the highly demanding and challenging nature of the job where level of stress is very high; a session on stress management was also conducted during the Conference.

3rd International Yoga Day was celebrated across the globe on 21st June 2017. The idea of International Day of Yoga was the first proposed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narendra Modi during his speech at the UNGA, on 27 September 2014. In his speech he said “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with you, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well-being. Let us work towards adopting and International Yoga Day”.

Following the path shown by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Income Tax Department, Rajasthan celebrated International Yoga Day in the morning of 21st June 2017. All the officers of Income Tax Rajasthan ranking from ITOs to Pr.CCIT who took part in the All Rajasthan Officers’s Conference participated in the Yoga session at Pushkar and performed various Yoga Asanas with great enthusiasm.
