Celebration of Income Tax Day – 2017

Income Tax Department celebrated the 157th year of its existence on the Income Tax Day i.e. 24th July 2017. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across all over India. The Day was celebrated across 45 stations of the Rajasthan Region. Various activities/events were organized to celebrate the occasion. Across all 45 stations of Rajasthan, interactive sessions of Officers of the Department with school children were organized on 24th July in various schools. Essay/Poster competitions were organized in various schools at all 45 stations on the theme of “Role of Income Tax in Nation Building”. The winners of the competitions were duly rewarded on 24th July.

Across all the stations, meetings with trade/industry associations, CA/Bar fraternity were organized. At major stations such as Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur, tax seminars were organized in which presentations were made on the achievements of the department and its future course by senior officers of the department.

In Jaipur, one hour interactive session was organized in the following colleges & schools of Jaipur-

          Each of the above schools was provided 50 sheets and best two posters were selected and forwarded to the committee headed by Sh. B. K. Gupta, CIT (Appeal) – 1, Jaipur; who selected the best three posters namely Neha Bafna, Subodh Public School, Rambagh, Jaipur, Chahat Bodhraj Premprakashi, Neerja Modi School, Mansarowar Jaipur and Pranjal Gupta, MPS, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur who were suitably rewarded during the tax seminar on 24th July.

A tax seminar was organized on 24th July afternoon at Aayakar Hall, NCR Building, Jaipur in which representatives of trade/industry Association, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Rajasthan Tax Consultants Association, Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce participated.

In the evening of the day, KAR-TARANG SANSKRITIK SANDHYA was organized in which cultural programs were presented by participants. The program was held at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur which was inaugurated by Shri Santosh Kumar Singh – Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Rajasthan, Jaipur.  Among others who attended the program included Income Tax Officers/ Employees, members of Various Trade Associations, members of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), members of Rajasthan Tax Consultant Association (RTCA), members of Tax Bar Association, Jaipur.
